  • Evidence of Dissemination – Provide examples of peer-reviewed publications, presentations, or other scholarly outputs that demonstrate the nominee’s commitment to sharing their work with the broader nursing and scientific community.
  • Future Potential – Describe how the nominee demonstrates potential for long-term contributions to nursing science.

Exemplary Nurse Scientist Award – This award highlights a nurse whose enduring scientific work has produced measurable benefits to nursing practice, education, policy, or patient care. Recipients of this award demonstrate a sustained commitment to the advancement of the nursing profession through scientific excellence, leadership, and mentorship. Submit Here

  • Sustained Contributions to Nursing ScienceDescribe the nominee’s scientific focus area and notable findings. Provide examples of how the nominee’s scientific excellence has translated into meaningful impact on nursing practice, education, policy, or patient care.
  • Leadership in ResearchProvide examples of the nominee’s leadership, especially in interdisciplinary collaborations or leading large-scale research initiatives.
  • Mentorship – Provide an example of a specific mentoring relationship the nominee has had with an aspiring nurse scientist.

Hawai’i Impact Award – This award highlights a nurse scientist whose work has had a significant local impact. They address the promotion of health and the transformation of healthcare with a focus on the unique cultural, demographic, or geographic characteristics of Hawaii and its people. Submit Here
