The Hawaiʻi State Center for Nursing was tasked by the Hawaiʻi State Legislature, via HCR105 HD1, SD1, in 2026 to develop a comprehensive list of recommended safe patient staffing strategies and ratios for all nursing specialties and subspecialties across all health care settings.
The comprehensive list is currently being compiled. The resource will be posted on this website no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the Regular Session of 2027.
