The Hawai‘i State Center for Nursing (HSCN) is a statewide organization dedicated to strengthening the nursing workforce in Hawai‘i. Established by statute, the Center serves as a central resource for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data and information related to nursing supply, demand, and education.
HSCN collaborates with nurses, educators, healthcare organizations, policymakers, and community partners to address current and emerging workforce issues. The Center supports workforce planning, policy development, and program initiatives that promote a stable, well-prepared nursing workforce capable of meeting the healthcare needs of Hawai‘i’s diverse communities.
Through research, reporting, and convening stakeholders, HSCN provides objective information and practical insights to inform decision-making and advance nursing workforce development across the state.
