Assistant Professor, Health Care Administration, University of Hawai’i West Oahu

Dr. Young holds a doctorate in Healthcare Administration and Leadership from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Masters in Science, Health Administration from Central Michigan University. With over 30 years in the healthcare industry, she has extensive experience in clinical nursing, hospital administration, disease management, healthcare IT system development and served as Director of Quality management and regulatory guidance for the Hawaii Healthcare Association. In addition, she is adjunct faculty with University of Phoenix and A.T. Still University.

Dr. Young currently works at the University of Hawaii West Oahu as Assistant Professor for Health Care Administration.

Dr. Young’s research interest focus is that of cultural differences and how these differences affect perception in healthcare delivery and behavioral change.
